Description
These beads are crafted from a soft, luminous stone, a variety of gypsum, that has been specially coated to enhance their durability, polish and luster. A translucent white stone, selenite can have inner striations, giving areas of the material a cat’s eye appearance.
Named after the Greek goddess of the moon (Selene), selenite is associated with the crown and third eye chakras and is believed to promote mental purity and serenity. It is thought to compel the holder to complete self-honesty and is used by crystal practitioners to cleanse other stones.
